The first steps: a story that begins in 1895

The Stassen family’s story begins in 1895, in the small town of Aubel, Belgium. Passionate about crafting artisanal beverages, the family dedicates itself to using the finest fruits from the region to create ciders that reflect the richness of the Belgian terroir.

This authentic know-how is passed down from generation to generation, with each family member adding their contribution to the legacy.

1960: diversification and development of sparkling wines

In the 1960s, the third generation of the Stassen family—composed of Jean, Hubert, and Eugène—decides to expand their expertise in cider-making by venturing into the creation of sparkling wines. This turning point marks a significant step in the family’s history.

Through the importation of wines from the Loire Valley and mastery of blending, filtration, and carbonation techniques, they create the brands Bouquet-Moulin and Paul Riant. These early creations lay the foundation for their expertise in sparkling wines, a field in which they will later excel.

A pioneering vision: the beginning of de-alcoholization

In the 1980s, the Stassen family takes a decisive turn by venturing into the dealcoholization of their products. Thanks to investments in state-of-the-art equipment and the development of an innovative process, they quickly become one of the first in Europe to master this complex technique.

This visionary choice responds to a growing demand for alcohol-free alternatives while preserving the aromas and quality of the finest grape varieties. The Stassen family continues to refine its expertise, establishing itself as a leader in the world of non-alcoholic wines.

The birth of Vintense

In 2011, building on its know-how and experience, the family creates the brand Vintense, dedicated exclusively to non-alcoholic wines. This ambitious project reflects the founding values of the family: authenticity, excellence, and innovation.

Made from the finest grape varieties, Vintense wines are carefully de-alcoholized in Belgium using a unique process that guarantees a refined tasting experience. Today, the brand offers a full range, from still wines to sparkling wines, as well as elegant mocktails.

A Belgian brand with international reach

While Vintense’s story begins in Belgium, it now enjoys a global presence. Exported to numerous countries, the brand remains proudly rooted in its Belgian origins.
